Key data on Swiss hospitals 2022

The eighteenth edition of the publication «Key figures for Swiss hospitals», published by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), once again presents figures for all hospitals. The information is based on data for the year 2022 from the Hospital Statistics and the Medical Statistics of Hospitals collected by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO). They provide an overview of the hospitals structure, patients, benefits, offer/supply, staff and financial situation as well as the illness average severity of in-patients. Article 59a of the Federal Health Insurance Act (KVG - LAMal) togethe with Article 31 of the Ordinance on Health Insurance (KVV - OAMal) forms the legal basis for this publication.
